Sorry I can't make it tomorrow, but I hope you have a blast! I worry that if I don't bring my WiiU to college, then by time I'm on my next break most of you will have moved on to other games... I have mine here in my dorm room. It's lots of fun! Unfortunately, I'm not available tomorrow, so I probably won't make it to the meetup tomorrow.

We appreciate your continued support, everyone. With your help, there can be a next time for those of you who can't make it this time. Who knows, maybe if we blather about Xenoboards in a squad we'll draw some interest from within the game.
So, 4PM EST is alright? I suppose we should join a conquest squad. We can post the squad code here for clarity's sake, and in case we change over to another. I intend to tweak my skell gear and maybe my ground setup and soul voice, so I'll probably be on early.

I'm hype for this!
Though I haven't used the online functions of XCX yet, so I might need some help as to where I should go to connect with all of you. Am I correct in assuming it's the terminal in the back of the BLADE barracks?
Also, yes Primulus, you should be able to grow AT LEAST a semicolon. It might seem like a downgrade at first, but they have their uses.

If you have yet to connect to a squad, I would think going to either the console in your barracks or the scout console next to the mission board will give you the option to enable online features and join one (if neither of those works, check the social option on your "pause" screen). Once you do that, you'll be given the option to join a squad each time you start up the game, and from there you can choose to join a friend's squad to get into the same one as us. And yeah, I'll likely hop on a bit early to get set up. I'll let you guys know once I'm on, and once I do, feel free to join my squad at any time! (I'm going to try to be on for at least a couple of hours, though I've plans later so I won't be online past 6ish).

(I'm going to try to be on for at least a couple of hours, though I've plans later so I won't be online past 6ish). Here's how it plays out: Every Squad Task completed (there's always a set of five, you've probably noticed) unlocks a squad mission. Sometimes certain things done in that squad mission unlocks additional squad missions. Squad missions can be carried out alone with your NPC party members, but you can also recruit other in your squad for them. To do this, the host of the mission selects the mission and enters "Accept and Recruit" (they do not need to pick up squad members as scouts). At this point, it will give an invitation to everyone in the squad. I'll see if I can get into contact with a certain friend before it's time. He's actually been taking notes about which Squad Mission gives what rewards, and how to unlock hidden ones. Unlocking hidden ones can be something simple, like "break tail off of a specific enemy during requisite mission." Throughout all this, though, Telethia Plume and Yggralith Zero will be available to fight. At any time, regardless of Squad Task/Mission progress, we can recruit for that and do runs on them. I think it might be helpful if I list things that are really useful for each fight, though as long as you have me, I'm pretty certain I can support a level 50+ party on Yggralith Zero (The Final Menace) by virtue of being a tank/support build. But just because I want everyone to be clear on what's a good idea to bring to those... 1. For The Final Menace, try to build Topple Resist and Gravity Resistance as much as possible. Topple Resist is a little bit more important though. 2. For The Planet's Guardian, try to get a hold of an augment that will completely neutralize reflect of all the attributes you're using, whether you're going to be using a skell or go on foot. Telethia Plume tends to have random attack attributes reflected, but I don't think I've ever seen it start reflecting Physical. Most Squad Missions are very easy, by the way. I don't think you'll need anything special for those. I've only ran into one, which had a minimum level of like 58, that has ever kicked my butt and required me to spec for it. A friend and I were doing it once, and we both got to the end of the mission, fighting a powerful Colubrim boss... before realizing that it was stun locking us into the dirt, and it was completely immune to all of our weapon attributes. After losing, we prepared anti-stun equipment and went back in... we barely beat it that time because we forgot to change our weapons before our second attempt, and the only way we had to damage it was one TP art I had that had a fixed attribute that it wasn't immune to. It also used Launch on us to knock us both down Mt. M'gando and we had to climb back up to get back to the boss. Good times.

It'll be very helpful to have someone as experienced as you with us, Primulus. When I hop on the game after walking the dog I'll see what I can do with my equipment. By the way, DarknessLink7, don't worry if you have any last-minute questions, we'll have a chance to chat and goof off with emotes in the BLADE Barracks before starting the mission. I'm looking forward to trying out the active multiplayer part of the game for the first time.

Also, if we don't have a way to chat, how are we gonna communicate? Skype? Just to be sure, since I'm in a different time zone, we start in a little less than 2 hours now, correct?

Just under 2 hours, yes. I'm currently trying to prepare for it by doing a lot of farming of a few particular enemies. Namely, Feliciano, the All-Seeing. I want a pair of Psycho Launchers with Potential Up and Potential Boost, but he's so far been very stingy about giving me that combination... except on gatling guns, of all things.

you can send free reports as long as you dont turn the option to be able to read them off. tap the keyboard icon to type a free report, not sure if it shows the name though
i send them once in a while but never get a reply because everyone turns it off due to the miiverse spam
For instance i have sent out a few reports with primulus name in it but primula cant see it cause the option is turned off on their end

Just joined a squad (to connect to mine, you just have to choose the name "Blaire" on your friend list when selecting a squad); join whenever!

(You could've joined the one AncientRune and I were already in though!) The others still need to join it. Also, what's the decision on how we're going to coordinate this? Just post here, or maybe a skype chat or something?

Maybe we can do one at 4:15 EST (about 20 minutes from now) to start?

Skype chat sounds nice to me.
I might need detailed instructions on how to join the mission once one of you guys are hosting it. I think I just choose "Active Missions" from the Network Console (right now it's empty), is that right?

And I figured maybe I or you could set a time when everyone else should be ready to check their squad console to join a mission? Maybe we can do one at 4:15 EST (about 20 minutes from now) to start? Squad Missions are a little more impromptu than that, although we do have The Planet's Guardian and The Final Menace. Basically, when the squad tasks timer ticks down to 0, any squad missions that were unlocked from completing the squad tasks go too. And we can't be sure that the other players in the squad won't beat us to the punch on those. Once someone completes a Squad Mission, it's locked out from everyone in the squad for the rest of the "session." That said, given the current time, getting to play a bit with some squad missions should be very possible. Just be very mindful when one of us starts hosting the mission, and it may be wise to check here very frequently for updates. Actually, for organization, someone should be the mission organizer by default. The person who "starts and recruits" the mission, so the rest of us can join. It'll be more orderly that way, when we have the same person (I nominate SirMouse) hosting the mission every time. Skype chat sounds nice to me. I might need detailed instructions on how to join the mission once one of you guys are hosting it. I think I just choose "Active Missions" from the Network Console (right now it's empty), is that right? Yep, if someone is recruiting, "Active Missions" will have a multiplayer session you can join.

Once someone chooses a mission it'll show up there for you to join.

And ah, OK. If it ends up being easier, Primulus, we can start off by doing The Planet's Guardian.
Tell you what - to get the ball rolling, I'll select it at 4:20. Just be sure to join quickly so others don't take your place.

I'm in the squad and just about ready to go. So the idea is to try a squad mission in just a few minutes, if possible?
