The only shows I watch are Wrestling and Last Week Tonight. I don't really watch anime much anymore. I prefer to read it

I'm currently watching Sherlock, on Season 4 episode 2 right now.
In the anime department I just finished Neon Genesis Evangelion, and MAN was that a ride... I recommend it to everyone.

Exactly how much of Evangelion? The TV series, the End of Evangelion movie taking place after the TV series, or the currently unfinished Rebuild of Evangelion movie series?

The TV series (24 episodes) and the End of Evangelion movie. I'm too scarred from that to start the Rebuild movie series right now, but eventually I'll watch them!

I just watched Your Name last night. It's pretty good! Oh, I've been wanting to watch that movie! One of my favorite video game scenario writers recommended it, so I have high hopes! (For the curious, it was Uchikoshi, the creator of the Zero Escape series!)

...so today I found this really amazing comedy anime called "Handa-kun". I'll just leave this scene here, and you can judge it yourself:

Zarathustra I noticed that your first anime completed was Blue Submarine No. 06. That's actually the last anime I completed myself, haha. I'll have to rewatch it some point though; I liked it but not sure if I fully absorbed what it was trying to say. DarknessLink7 I keep hearing about Sherlock, is it any good? Definitely got Evangelion on the list anyway. Anyone got a good horror series to recommend? TV or anime (honestly it seems to me there's a serious lack of horror anime that isn't just blood = scary). I hate being scared but I've still got a craving anyway.

Not all episodes are whodunnit mysteries, but those that arent are usually very intense battles of wits with lots of mindgames. Even through the mysteries are very interesting, the main draw is probably the character interaction. It's a very unique sort of humor that you won't find anywhere else. This series is the master of quick and witty remarks. As for horror stuff, I can't recommend "I am a Hero" enough. It's a manga, but it's without a doubt the creepiest and most interesting horror experience I've had. There's actually a movie too, but it's merely all right while the manga is amazing. (I know this is a TV series topic, but I just had to recommended "I am a Hero" if you crave something scary but hate being scared!)

As for horror anime, I don't really have any suggestions but if you're open to reading manga then I definitely recommend looking up works done by Junji Ito

Thanks for the recommendations anyway peeps. I've heard of I am a Hero actually and think I'll check it out. And Zarathustra I've read so much Junji Ito. His stuff is wonderful. It seems I'll have to make that reading thread then! Not reading much books/manga myself so I don't know how much I'll contribute, but maybe I can get some recs there too.

So I haven't watched much TV lately, but I've seen a few movies:
John Wick Pt. 2: The first one was really fun and this one didn't disappoint. Plenty of awesome gunfights and fistfights, and Keanu Reeves is as wooden as ever.
Spectral: Netflix original movie; military fights ghost people (no horror though). I'd heard about this one being good so I gave it a watch... it was okay. In spite of the premise it largely avoids being cheesy, so points for that.
Batman: The Killing Joke: Cheap animation and shoehorns in a first act that didn't need to be there. So average it was painful.

I saw a really awesome movie a few days ago called "Primal Fear". I don't wanna say too much (because it's the kind of movie that can be partially ruined by just reading about it), but if you enjoy mysteries and cleverness I think you'll like it.
