I'm Stufa. A nik name from Harry Hill's cat if anyone remembers?
I'm 37 years old, so I'm a bit of a gaming OAP, lol
I live in the UK.
I'm married.
And I have tourettes syndrome.
My interests are art and animation, psychology, drama, karaoke, video games (lol) and I used to be a wrestler (albeit on small time, lol).
I love to create things that are entertaining. That is why I enjoy gaming so much. From an early age I was fascinated in being able to control the entertainment on a TV as opposed to just watching it.
As gaming got better and better, I used to enjoy being able to literally disappear into virtual worlds. The more unique and surreal the better.
I really enjoyed being a wrester (of sorts) as it felt like I really was a sort of video games character. The sort you'd find on a Street Fighter game.
Unlike drama (which I really enjoy), we had a fair bit of freedom to experiment to win a gathered crowd over.
I also did some media work for our wrestling company from filming, editing and advertising. Creating posters was especially fun.
It was great seeing people literally become surreal heroes, villains with crazy moves and insane plot lines. You see where I'm going with this? Lol
And when you look at what people are doing with their games now. It's not all that different to what wrestlers do... if that makes sense?
Oh if you ask, I could even show you some of my work. Videos and things like that, hint hint, lol. I don't mind trying to get that much needed attention we all desire . I'll certainly exchange the courtesy by looking at what forms of art you lot have come up with. Creativity is the key IMO. It's great to share it.
My tourettes got me really interested in psychology.
And let's face it. To entertain, you need to understand who you're entertaining to IMO.
Plus in video games (especially recently) you can really see a lot of unique characteristics emerge from gamers.
So I ask gamers, 'what do you really want from these games?'.
They don't have to answer me. But do they know themselves?
Err, yeah, I'm getting a bit philosophical.
On the subject of psychology.
It really saddened me to see just how harsh many online environments can be. So I pride myself on trying to be as civil as I can.
Well, I've babbled on for a bit.
It's late, I need to get some sleep so I can get to the shops bright and early to obtain the prrreciousss game that has brought us lot together on common grounds.
My Wii U id is stufasa.
Hopefully I'll see you lot in here, miiverse and especially on Planet Mira.
Happy gaming
