There are a few vendors who will become unavailable at the same time the quests become unavailable. I don't know if anything they sell is exclusive to those vendors, though. You'll know when you reach one of the game's turning points because a character will ask, "are you sure you want to continue?"

Honestly, I thought the attack on Colony 9 would be a point of no return, since people clearly died in that scene (and Fiora took my armor and gems. How rude of her! Is there any way to get those back, or do I have to remove it all before the scene? I still have the save before it). Really loved playing all of that scene out, it enhanced the experience a lot. I love all these characters so much. Gem crafting is confusing. But I think I'll like it once I understand it.

One of them is early in the game. And the others are late game. They all will give you proper warning, though. And you can't get your armor back, unfortunately. But at this point in the game, gems and armor aren't too important. They get more important later on once you start getting stronger armor and more powerful gems. Another thing I'd like to mention is that enemy drops are almost always better than what the shops can offer. The only reason I ever used shops was to get art books (which let you level up your arts more.

There wouldn't happen to be a video or image archive that showcases all the armor on all the characters, would there? I'm trying to stay a bit lower leveled now (rushed through Tephra), but curiosity of enemy drops is getting to me a bit. Advice on leveling up Arts? Is it something I can mostly freely go about, or should I try to be conservative? Do early-gained Arts go out of use as I unlock more, or are they balanced enough that they all have their uses? If shops close, does that lock me out of the Arts manuals they sell? That'd be bad.

If shops close, does that lock me out of the Arts manuals they sell? That'd be bad. There are image archives of that, but I would stay away from them due to spoilers and such. For Shulk, I'd level up most of his arts, since they won't get replaced. As for the rest (I guess you just have Reyn right now), level up any arts that you see as valuable (like Wild Down). But don't level up too much if you feel like it might get replaced. But AP is virtually infinite, so I would just use all the AP you have when you level up arts. I think the art books that are sold in the shops that close are also sold in some other shop on Bionis. Don't quote me on that, though. It's not a big deal if you miss a couple of art books, since there are two levels of art books. Intermediate art books (lets you level up an art to 7) you get from shops. Advanced art books (lets you level up an art to 10, the maximum) are enemy drops. But those don't start appearing until the second half of the game.

So looking at the skill menu, I see these things called affinity coins, and they're amount is always X/X, not X/Y. I mean, it's always 100%, like 24/24.
What do they do?

Affinity coins are earned one of two ways. Either by leveling up or defeating a unique monster for the first time. Affinity coins are used to perform skill links. Meaning you can share a skill with another character if they have enough affinity coins. The more useful skills cost more affinity coins to link. On the skill tree menu, there should be a button prompt that says "Skill Links". Press that, then you can decide which skills to link between players. Skills must be the same shape as the slots in the skill link tree in order to be linked. This was one of the last systems in the game that I understood fully while I was playing.

Got my first timed quests. Oh no. Are those the quests at the Refugee Camp? Make sure to do as many of those as you can before leaving the Bionis' Leg. They don't expire then, but I still recommend doing that.

It's nice that even though I'm overleveled against common enemies, packs can still give me trouble!

That's Violent Andante. He's level 16. Ardun are the male variety (they have horns). Armu are the female variety (no horns). Napping Volfen is a bit on the hard side to find.

Hey, what was that light in the water of Colony 9 just off the Residential Area Landmark bridge? A woman mentions it after the Mechon attack, and I went back to C9 after meeting Mysterious Face, and she says it disappeared.
Speaking of Mysterious Face, that tentacle Mechon boss was one heck of a difficulty spike. To deal with my overleveled state, I'd been running around with my favorite-aesthetic armor and weapons (which rarely was the best I had available) and no gems, to make fights a bit harder. But I think I'll have to start leveling up Arts soon if I want to keep up while not using max equipment. Still annoys me that it gives me so much EXP for discovering areas and completing achievements. Now where the heck is White Eduardo? I tried going to the lake when it was raining and couldn't find him.

I did have quite a bit of trouble with Mechon M71 the first time I fought it. White Eduardo is on the island in the middle of Raguel Lake. I think your problem is you're confusing rainstorms with thunderstorms. Eduardo will only show up during a thunderstorm, not a rainstorm. So you have to see lightning in the sky for it to qualify as a thunderstorm. Once you find him, he's not too bad of a fight at level 17.

As long as I don't get swarmed by the Oasis Flamii first. Went back to Colony 9 to fight Dark Murakmur at Level 21 and almost lost. It was there I discovered that you get EXP even when KO'd. Thank goodness for that.

But I guess that makes them that much more special when you encounter one.
