What the hell is Link wearing? Haha, the pants? Just something I picked up in the desert.

Downloaded the Wii U version last weekend and have been really enjoying it thus far. The game respects your intelligence as a player more than any game I've played in recent memory, and it makes exploring the world and solving the puzzles therein all the more rewarding. Also, flameheadshero, I did the exact same thing as you (even went to the same location!) after leaving the Great Plateau, except in my case, I threw a spear off a cliff and then left the plateau in the direction it pointed.

This is probably the best game Nintendo has ever made. It's unbelievable how organic and physical the whole experience is; it's simple and complex simultaneously. So as I tend to do with open games like this, I wait for the game to tell me where to go and then I go the opposite way. Let's just say that so far I have already run into multiple occasions where Uncontrollable or You Will Know Our Names would be incredibly fitting for the situation. There certainly are some intimidating baddies out there in Hyrule, and after I left the Great Plateau I hesitated to venture off the designated path. But I love climbing and the Paraglider, and I hate having a shrouded map in games. After sneaking my way up Akkala Tower, I figured I could soar over the northern regions of the map and activate those towers, surviving the scorching heat and bitter cold with elixirs. So I went ahead and completed a counter-clockwise loop of Hyrule. I mostly kept moving, skipping most Shrines or quests, but collected some really great weapons and materials along the way. By the time I returned to Hateno to speak to Purah for the first time, I had the whole map uncovered, with only three hearts, two stamina upgrades, and base level armor.

Now put them all up again, but with the new outfit.
On second thought: don't. Please.
