Gessenkou pointed that out pretty much immediately after the trailer was released. Interesting! I hadn't noticed that before! Does that mean the ship is docked there? Gessenkou theorized that instead of it being a ship, it might be a town built into the side of the cliff (and thus, not an airborne city aside from the fact that it appears to be located on a flying creature of some sort). The walls would indicate a U or horseshoe shaped enclosure, which could easily fit a sky dock like the one seen in the other screenshot.

The pic i just showed earlier may be wrong but the closeness of the locations are likely the same. This may be a reach but I think I may have found some concrete proof those roots look almost the same dont they.

Large-scale recording set for the end of the month, says Mitsuda. www.procyon-studio.com/blog/?p=11749I count at least 60 booklets in that pic and Mitsuda says it's only 1/4 of the musical score

I got about 40 folders and if that's a folder per song the soundtrack will still be 150+ songs
It also confirms orchestral arrangements as you can see the words shown are instruments

He used them for both his recent OSTs.

What are the chances of getting any Xenoblade 2 news before E3? I'm a little surprised that despite the claims it's coming out this year we still haven't seen any gameplay yet (other than Rex running around the environments a little bit).

Well, there's usually a Nintendo Direct about every 3-4 months or something, right? So we could very well get one in May if we're lucky.

If I recall the last few years we've gotten directs in early April(?). I remember the one direct with the Lucas DLC (and I think Xenoblade 3DS) so I could see it happening then. May might be a bit too close to E3, although I don't think it's completely imppssible

I may have found what one of the potential influences are of Xenoblade 2: www.mythicalcreaturesguide.com/page/LeviathanTo save you a click, the article says the following: The Leviathan was a monstrous fish created on the fifth day of Creation. The Leviathan will be slain and its flesh served as a feast to the righteous in [the] Time to Come, and its skin used to cover the tent where the banquet will take place." There is another religious hymn recited on the festival of Shavuot (celebrating the giving of the Torah), known as Akdamut, wherein it says: "...The sport with the Leviathan and the ox (Behemoth)...When they will interlock with one another and engage in combat, with his horns the Behemoth will gore with strength, the fish [Leviathan] will leap to meet him with his fins, with power. Their Creator will approach them with his mighty sword [and slay them both]." Thus, "from the beautiful skin of the Leviathan, God will construct canopies to shelter the righteous, who will eat the meat of the Behemoth [ox] and the Leviathan amid great joy and merriment, at a huge banquet that will be given for them." Some rabbinical commentators say these accounts are allegorical (Artscroll siddur, p. 719), or symbolic of the end of conflict. In a legend recorded in the Midrash called Pirke de-Rabbi Eliezer it is stated that the whale which swallowed Jonah narrowly avoided being eaten by the Leviathan, which generally eats one whale each day. In a hymn by Kalir, the Leviathan is a serpent that surrounds the earth and has its tail in its mouth, like the Greek Ouroboros and the Nordic Midgard Serpent. Legend has it that in the banquet after the end of conflict, the carcass of the leviathan will be served as a meal, along with the behemoth and the ziz. So we have a giant whale, an ox (which is probably what Rex was running on when the trailer started, 'canopy', which the tree might be a reference to (although I'm still personally thinking Yggdrasil, and of course 'God' with a sword, which fits the 'Godslayer' theme we always see in the Xeno titles.

New trailer hyyyyype. Looks like Homura's name has been localized as Pyra, apparently to keep the "flame" meaning obvious. Wonder what Hikari will become. Aura? It also looks like there's a big change to the battle system, apparently assigning individual (or perhaps pairs of) attacks to the face buttons, as well as what appears to be a tether swap system similar to Tales of Zestiria. There's a listing for Pyra and two blank portraits on the other side of the screen from the attacks, suggesting that Rex may be able to swap Blades (and by extension active party members) using the D-Pad.

I think the fact they called her a Blade was a nice touch. Anyway, I was more interested in the creation story. Although it's not really revealed in any major detail, the "architect" could potentially be one of the XC gods(Zanza or Shulk). If it's Shulk, that would explain the existence of Blades and why they're not god-killing weapons like the Monado. Also, did anyone notice the music was a remix of You Will Know Our Names?

I have to admit it looks even more shounen than I expected. I can live with that, but I hope the style swings back to XG/XCX for the next game, with gears/skells again. I hope we'll get to see more gameplay soon! I'm curious about the changes they've made to combat. It almost looked turn-based; I would have no problem with that, but it might turn off a lot of other people. If anyone missed it, there's a nopon character who appears to be a member of the party at the very end, ready for combat with a shield and a wrench. An engineer/mechanic type of character? I think the fact they called her a Blade was a nice touch. Anyway, I was more interested in the creation story. I agree, I think the architect is intended to be an allusion to XC1's universe. Same with the mysteries of Mira; it's an interesting premise for building a Final-Fantasy-like franchise and tying it together. Even if the architect's actual identity is something else, I'm sure it's an intentional reference. I don't hear You Will Know Our Names, but the music did remind me of Confrontation with the Enemy.
